Damsels in Distress Tickets

Three new comedies on marriage, lust, life, mothers, fathers and trouble from acclaimed playwright Alan Ayckbourn, whose double-bill House/Garden played at the National Theatre in 2000.

Performed by the same company of actors and on the same set - a luxury apartment in London’s Docklands - the trilogy – Game Plan, Flat Spin and Roleplay - are in fact separate plays which share a running theme: each features a ‘damsel in distress’ (hence the collective title).

Game Plan (Mon 7.30, Sat Morning 11.30, Thu Matinee 2.30) - Lynette Saxon's business collapses and her husband disappears. She finds herself a single parent with a beak future. But her teenage daughter, Sorrel, has a daring last ditch scheme to save them both. Will her desperate game plan plunge them into deeper trouble.

Flat Spin (Tue & Thu 7.30, Sat Matinee 3.30) - A night of romance in a luxurious riverside apartment with a good-looking stranger. How can it possibly go wrong for Rosie? But the flat's not hers, she's calling herself Joanna, and haven knows what the stranger is after.

Roleplay (Wed, Fri & Sat 7.30 )- An introductory supper for Julie-Anne Jobson's future parents-in-law. An important occasion planned down to the last detail. But no-one has allowed for the arrival of the desperate Paige Petite who literally drops in from the upstairs flat-hotly pursued by the menacing Micky Rale.
